"My son was also in the spelling bee this year competing for 1st or 2nd place and I was shocked to learn that all the contestants were given another chance which discredited the students efforts who had made it so far only to be told they would be starting from the beginning. I don't think this year's spelling bee was well planned nor thought out. I hope they will listen to the concerns of the parents and the students next year and students get a fair chance at only having one time to compete. I'm sure the other kids were disappointed that had really studied and made it to the Top 4. I explained to my son that sometimes you can't win them all but in this case the rules were not fairly written and this is the cause of my disappointment. Sincerely, Disappointed Parent"

"My daughters was in the 2016 5th grade spelling bee and she was in the top 3 then the judges ms.johnon and ms.griffin told her to sit down and they let let everyone who was eliminated in that round come back and now 2 other people are competing for 3rd place and not her she was the one who was supposed to be 3rd place not the other 2 people"
