"From a distance, the museum appears to be a pile of rusted junk, but it's worth a stop. The location itself has a rich history, including the milling of feldspar, which is used to make porcelain. The museum includes a shop where the owners restore vehicles. They are very passionate about their work and take years to do accurate restorations. The collection includes one-of-a-kind items such as a Curtiss jeep used exclusively in mid-century movies. Walking around, there are many unique vehicles on the lot. Free to visit (donations accepted). This is one of three historic sites in Campo, which include an 1880s shoot-out site and the Pacific Southwest Railway Museum."
"A hidden gem in east county for anyone interested in vintage vehicles, machinery, or photography. Brian and the members were passionate and knowledgeable on-site guides. Wandering between the trucks and machines was a fun path of discovery."
"What a find to take a trip down memory lane (if you're old like me). A warm welcome by the member/guide (Brian?) who spent a lot of time walking us around and giving us a history lesson. Free entrance but for sure leave a donation to keep this gem of a place running. They keep the motors running for you. Thank you, Brian. We shall return."
"If you love rusty old vehicles this is for you. Some of the vehicles here are 100+ years old. Photographers heaven. They do occasional Sunday night star shoots. The owner/docent was very friendly. It can be very hot, dress and prepare accordingly. Keep your eyes open for wildlife, including bees and rattlesnakes."
