"Weird unprofessional experience.. Recently interviewed here in person and on zoom. "Branch manager" had me come in for interview in Irvine. Comes out and says he can't speak but still has me sit down and listen to him whisper for over an hour. Didn't hear half of it and I have great hearing..Why he didn't reschedule is anyone's guess..Initially applied for remote life insurance which was on job posting..I have over 17 years in the financial services industry specifically securities. They wanted me to be an in house Financial Advisor, which by their definition was finding extra money from existing clients and then push variable and indexed annuities onto said clients while working with unlicensed agents in the office, "because they are finding additional money.".. .... 2nd Zoom interview with Compliance Principal of Securities. Guy is turned sideways the entire time which was ridiculous. Both want me to bring my book with actual securities clients over without any compensation and then not own them if I left because they are captive...Branch Manager.."It won't matter because you will get so much business" . Also ridiculous. Never. heard back from nor did I ever take this place seriously.. as the "branch manager" seemed to get bent out of shape when I asked if it was remote, lol. The job posting described it as remote. There was zero chance I was driving 65 miles one way everyday to try to convince seniors they actually need variable annuities or life insurance at the age of 75 or beyond. In today's market there is no need to be in office daily. Insurance is also still not regulated like Securities which is why you have offices like Bankers Life doing questionable things imo.... Buyer beware.."
