"Horrible experience with U-Haul as well as their staff and rates review. I highly recommend just renting a box truck or a pickup truck instead it would be much cheaper. Customer service is horrible person I talked to on the phone was on hold for 30 minutes didn't have a clue of what I was asking. I merely asked for an extra hour extension to drop off my U-Haul and was told I would be charged another full day of $90 when it says on the side of their vans rent me for a $19.99 or $29.99 . Be sure to always read the fine print and when I told the gentleman the store about my experience he said "well I can always charge you more if you like" this kind of customer service is unacceptable and I don't recommend this company to anyone anywhere find a friend with a pickup truck or just go to Avis or another rental place. They nickel and dimed me to death. And the condition of the truck was horrible it was even smashed into the side of the building when I went to go pick it up I have pictures of those as well. To which the manager replied yeah I got a guy that doesn't know how to back up trucks very well. And my personal management experience I would have reprimanded this person a while ago. Unfortunately it was the only option for me at the time but I do not recommend U-Haul to anyone, anywhere, ever. And the shop was so dirty and nasty it look like something out of the 1970s that hadn't been cleaned. I didn't even get a simple hello when I walked in the door I was I guess not important enough to say hello to."
