"I made an appointment to meet a Psychaitrist a month ago, and specifically placed a request for a sign language interpreter. They acknowledged receipt that they will provide a sign language interpreter. They called yesterday at 4:00 pm to confirm my appointment and expected me to bring my own interpreter, which is a clear violation of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). ADA was passed in 1990, and it is now 2016. Instead of accepting responsibility, they placed blame on me and others for failing to provide an interpreter. I spoke with Ron Schmidt, who refused to believe he and his staff discriminated against me, and refused to be accountable for their inaction. My appointment was cancelled by them, and they will not reschedule an appointment with me because I am Deaf and it is too expensive for them to provide an interpreter. This is blatant discrimination and a blatant violation of the ADA."
