Acuity Insurance

"HORRIBLE!!!! Worthless system will not let me post ZERO stars? No one can answer a SIMPLE question about their own written insurance policies. People kept whining about their problems doing their jobs. I keep getting transferred to yet another person who was a clueless as the previous person I talked to and whined even more. One woman stated proudly that "I do not know". Rude arrogant condescending argumentative. Pawned me off on the non-functional website, another pawned me off on the local agent, who whined about how hard it is to reset his password. He promised to call me back and has not. Customer service does not exist here. Customers seem like an annoying problem. But hey, at least they were located in America."

"I had a difficult transition into Acuity. It seems they are not very detail oriented. Because of an "update in policy regarding the style of our roof" they informed me I had around two weeks to find new insurance. This happened just under two months after starting coverage and I was asked no questions regarding the style of roof I have during quoting discussions. This put me put me in a very bad position in getting new insurance and in the end it would have been better to stick with the previous insurance company. Part of me wonders if they are "found a reason" to drop my coverage because it was a significant savings compared. I guess in the future I will not only focus on price, but also the company I am doing business with. I will be moving to another insurance carrier and would recommend you did as well."

"My experience with Acuity was great. Claims were quick and simple (granted, I didn't have many), and their pricing was always competitive whenever I shopped around. I recently moved in with my girlfriend and switched to bundling with her insurance, but would gladly go back to Acuity if things changed. Even cancelling my Acuity policy was easy. A short phone call (literally 2 minutes exact according to my call log) and a quick follow-up email with a picture of a written notice was all it took. I don't write many reviews, but I'm so used to getting harassed by companies when I try to cancel their services, that I felt compelled to write this one. YMMV -- no person or company is perfect -- but for me Acuity was a diamond in the rough."

"Our claim was a big deal and I was very nervous going into it. But as soon as our adjuster took over the stress and worry went away. Knowing I was in such good hands couldn’t have made it any easier for us. They took care of everything we needed and it was very fast. Things moved along way faster then I could’ve ever imagined. "12-27-23 I recently had a water damage claim at my home. I called Acuity and a claims rep jumped on the case immediately. Natasha, my claims manager, was extremely helpful. The follow up and process was impressive. Compared to recent claims process stories I've heard from friends and relatives, this can be a nightmare, even with some of the larger, well known insurance companies. Acuity's people were friendly, helpful and professional. They didn't quibble on the final claim amount and treated me quite fairly. These days, that's unusual."
