Reviews of Linda Vista Elementary School
"Be careful with this school if you are having any custody issues. There was a joint physical custody order in place and one day when I went to pick up our daughters after school, the office staff stated the mom called and isn’t allowing you to. This was a violation of the court order as nothing precluded me from picking them up. They had met me several times before as well and they had the custody order on file. Then the school principal and office staff appeared voluntarily as witnesses in our custody case, because they had a personal relationship with the mom. I believe they did this because she is a famous Porn Actress. Schools are not supposed to get involved in personal matters and there was nothing that allowed them to intervene legally. In closing, imagine every time you and your ex-spouse have a disagreement?...does that mean you can call the school and they will disobey a court order for you? Just beware"
"My two children have spent a combined total of 11 years at Linda Vista Elementary. The school is as good as any and better than most. Its in a great neighborhood and my kids seem to love it, mostly. The staff is pretty solid and has remained stable over the years producing some fantastic work from the students they teach. The individual teachers all have their areas of excellence and areas that need improvement. Over the years the strengths have seemed to eclipse any weakness. Linda Vista has a strong PTA that has consistently improved the learning experience and more than once saved the day for the kids. LV also maintains enrichment classes and a physical education program. Extracurricular clubs and classes change frequently, but are usually worth The time. The carnival at the end of the year can be so fun, but the talent show we host at the middle school is, to me, extraneous. However my kids really like it so, I really like it, its great. The school has other events related to seasonal tradition and often used for specified fundraising. Sometimes, we have spirit wear. Most all of the parents I've met are good people, some are great, others also have kids at Linda Vista."
