Deep Sea Wine Tasting Room Ventura

"Went to enjoy a glass of wine. Ended up doing the red flight tasting. Decided to join the wine club because every wine we tried was delicious. We don't even live near there but it has inexpensive shipping. The ambiance was perfect on the patio by the docks on a sunny Saturday afternoon. The cheese plate was delicious! This place gets an A+."

"An odd experience. I was with a group organized by another person. The group wound up larger than expected. It happens. A couple were sitting at a table next to our group, I admit I felt sorry for them. With my back to their table, I laid my sunglasses on the corner. A staffer came over, handed me my sunglasses and lectured me all about the noise, how it was not my table, on and on. She knew the other person had arranged the group, I said a couple of times she should talk to him, not me. I just did not expect to be picked out as the one person to be lectured because of poor planning. I had been happy to have a wine tasting option in the harbor. I won't be back."

"Me and my fiancé LOVE the wine from here. Deep Sea and Conway has our wine hearts!! Aged in stainless steel makes for a crisp, refreshing wine white or red. We have a membership here and it is so worth it! We love to go for our monthly bottle and enjoy it there. Our favorite time to go is during the week so it is less busy, it can get busy during the weekend."

"The tasting room has a nice atmosphere with indoor and patio seating. There isn't a lot of indoor seating so if that's your preference you are a bit limited, but they also have a couple games you can play inside or outside. We enjoyed their wine flight tastings, the signature and the all red, and enjoyed a cheese board. All around a nice afternoon wine tasting."

"Great addition to the Ventura harbor. Good wine, both flights are tasty, and nice seating inside and outside for a view and people watching. The inside can get a bit loud during peak hours though. They were trialing some pizza when we visited which was decent. They also have a cheese board that looked great and we will try next time. Also there were some chocolate options to enjoy as well. Overall a solid experience and addition to Ventura. Our only issue with the place is that we are locals and the local winery club membership just felt lacking… it provided a minor discount on one bottle of wine a month. A more frequent tasting discount option would get us to visit more with friends. As it stands now, it’s just a solid place to visit occasionally or for a date night. A bit building on the membership program would make it excellent though."
