"This little wing dam, which exists to keep the muskies out of Lake Wingra, is a fun spot to fish all year round. It is a preserve downstream of the dam from April 15 to May 15 because the muskies are easy targets when bunched up below it. You can fish upstream all year round, though. Come watch the spectacle of muskies trying to hurl their big bodies 18 inches or more over the concrete spillway."
