"Jax has become amazingly bad. A Jax employee destroyed part of a bike today due to incompetence. Over the years, we have serviced dozens of bikes and bought at least six bikes here, but no more. The service has become appalling. We have now had a string of awful experiences with their service department. Today, my wife brought her bike for the simple task of getting a tune-up and having the front tire replaced. The bike technician, Joel, didn't realize the through axle bolt holding the tire in place needed to be adjusted from both sides and instead tried to loosen it from one side. In doing so, he decided the bolt was too tight. Rather than say, it was something he didn't want to risk working on, he chose to destroy the through axle bolt, not just strip it, but completely ruin it. He then proceeded to hammer (yes, hammer) a hex wrench into the axle. Not only did he completely strip one side but he proceeded to destroy the through axle bolt and then proceeded to tell my wife she was going to need to buy a new one. When I returned with her, not only did he NOT take responsibility for his actions but he and a fellow employee decided a better course of action would be to talk poorly about competitors and tell us how much worse they are than Jax. They also have a security camera right in the area where he was doing the work. I asked him to pull up the footage so we could see exactly how he was handling the bike. His response was, "We don't keep the film, so we can't watch it." Jax has become yet another example of local businesses who have given up actually caring about their regular customers, driving us to do as much business online as possible and seek service options elsewhere. Very unfortunate. We used to really like this place."

He was very knowledgeable and was very curious he was patient with us and was able to get my wife ready to ride. 4 months later i brought my bike in and he was able to help me out as well. This place is honest and they have great customer service. I highly recommend this place. There is plenty of bike shops closer to my home but id rather drive the extra distance."
