"There was a 20% off coupon advertised on the LA times website. When I tried to enter it on my order with Backcountry, it was denied. I then spent about a half an hour on the chat, and they claimed that the offer had expired even though it was listed as updated that day, I then tried to spend additional time when they offered 15% but was unable to connect with the chat. Don’t waste your time! Bait and switch!"

"So disappointed. I purchased climbing items from here from time to time. Recently bought a Backcountry duffel bag (two of the same color) and returned one that was too small. The duffel bag was unused, had the tags on, and never left its original packaging other than the first time to open the box and inspect it for sizing. I returned the duffel bag online. The return was rejected because the item was 'used'. I was dumbfounded. The items was never used. No tags were removed. And it was returned in it's original box and in its plastic covering. Again—it was never used in any way. Very frustrating process. And disappointed in the return process as the returned item was brand new and returned in exact accordance with their policy. Now out $75 because of Backcountry not honoring its return policy. Disappointed in this process — and frankly leaves a bad taste in my mouth given the positive experience at certain other outdoor stores."

"For those who like to enjoy the great outdoors with sick apparel. Nothing wrong looking good, my girlfriend may actually rough it up in the woods if she could look this good out there. Thanks to whoever came up with a store like REI but without all the gear, mostly city style designs that are also functional. Take a look, great eye candy."
