The Mill Waunakee

"What a cute place to stay! The check in process and customer service was excellent. We enjoyed the open living room workspace and the rooms were comfortable and quiet. The coffee shop below is adorable and perfect for breakfast."

"This was a great place to stay for my solo get away to wind down. I'm pretty sure I was the only person in the hotel during my 2 day stay since it was very quiet and I had the lounge areas all to myself. Also, it was wonderful having the cafe downstairs to grab breakfast and a Danish for later, both were delicious! I was a bit concerned about noise since the coffee shop opened at 7:00 a.m. but it was very quiet. I stayed in 201 with the detached bath and had no issues, especially since I was the only one there, but I was a bit surprised the bathroom wasn't cleaner, especially since there is a cleaning fee, and sad there was no bathrobe to use as a previous guest had stated. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed my stay at The Mill house and will be back for another stay next time I'm in the area. I will also be visiting the Grace Coffee shop in my city for another one of those Danish."

"Overall the Mill is amazing!! The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star review is because there were some stains on their bed covers and shower curtains. Would be great to bleach it all since everything is white. That said, the owners are simply amazing and worked with my situation. The location is perfect and the decor is soooo cute!! Will stay here any time I have a chance."

"The room and location were great. There were three women with a massage table set up in the shared lobby area outside of my door. It was very uncomfortable with them in bathrobes listening to some recording and taking up the space the entire length of my stay. I’m not sure if this is normal use of the area or was a one time event."

"We loved our stay with The Mill Waunakee! We reserved the two-queen-beds room, which was spacious yet cozy. The beds were comfortable (firm at first but then conforming), guest noise was reasonable (we only heard other humans when they were in the hallway), and the location of the hotel was super convenient. I especially enjoyed having a coffee shop on location. I could see returning to The Mill for a quiet escape, complete with a yummy latte and a delicious scone within walking distance. I would love to see the place during the warmer months; the patio looked amazing! One minor issue that may have been more of a user error than anything was setting up the television. We wanted to tune into the Packers game and found that we needed to set up our own Google TV. It wasn't too much of an issue but if future guests don't have that option, it may be inconvenient for them. Overall, we loved our stay at The Mill and would recommend this adorable boutique hotel to anyone who ventures north to Waunakee."
