"I had surgery on 12 2824 at Fort Atkinson Hospital. I was more than pleased with the service I was provided the nurses the anesthesiologist and the doctors were more than professional. They answered all of my question. It was obvious to me that everyone there took pride in their work. Dr. Bliss did a wonderful job. I am more than pleased . I would highly recommend Fort Atkinson hospital."
"This hospital is the worst hospital I have ever stepped foot into. I went into the emergency room today with a concussion from a work injury. My concussion is bad to the point where I have been vomiting and it has affected my vision. It is a known fact to even ordinary people that when someone has a concussion they should not be around loud noises or bright lights. When I got there, they took me back, and they did my vitals, and then they sent me back to the waiting room. I sat in the waiting room with screaming children, a woman’s screaming that she needed to be seen before everybody else because her issues were more important, a blaring TV, phones, ringing back to back back because nobody was answering the phones, etc. They left me in the waiting room in that state for over an hour. I eventually walked out because I was started to puke in my mouth. I did not even get treated at any rate, aside from the pregnancy test they did for a concussion ? I then proceeded to call the hospital to talk to someone in a supervisor position and when the woman answered the phone, who was the supervisor she literally stated “and what do you want me to do?”. First and foremost, none of their processes, or anything is correct. Why would you do a pregnancy test for a concussion? Their staff is awful. There is no manners there’s no kindness nothing. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone. I have also had a past experience of a resident that I take care of for work was admitted to the hospital with clear orders he is to eat no food or take anything by mouth anymore now that he has a g-tube. They were feeding him puréed food behind the company’s back and that mistake landed him on hospice. DO NOT GO HERE. GO ANYWHERE ELSE."
"I wouldn't even give one star but I can't leave a review otherwise. The whole Forthealthcare system is a complete joke!! Came in today after a fall and was made to do several tests, nothing done to make me feel better ever! I'm so glad I have other doctors to see cuz the Doctors in this network have NO compassion!!!!"
"Worst experiences of my life!! Was in labor for over 30 hours, emercency C-Section, but the nurse who was left alone with me and my son afterwards was so upset because it was 7am and she was supposed to be done with her shift, so she was so rude and rough in handling my newborn!! She changed him and just flipped him over like a ragdoll! He was crying, I was crying..and all she said was: I was supposed to be out at 7! I complained but never heard a thing back!! Years later, my teenage son went in. Turned out he needed surgery but the nurses were whispering back and forth that he had C. Diff and they had to be VERY careful. I overheard and couldnt understand for the life of me why they wouldnt share that with the family??!?!?!? Again, had to complain and they finally told the rest of the family!!! STAY AWAY!! GO TO MADISON!!!"
"February 2023 Dr. Martin treated me in the ER. I was 8 weeks post surgery with new acute pain at my surgical site. I shared I had taken 1 legal CBD product at bedtime, which I rarely used, hoping it would help me sleep with the pain, and 4 hours after that when the pain was worse, I took 1 surgeon prescribed medication, and 1 hour after that, 1 other surgeon prescribed medication (same surgeon, 2 different medications), all over the course of 5.5 hours, as prescribed. I shared I hadn't used these medications in recent weeks, as I had been feeling great. Dr. Martin treated me with the same medication I had already taken, along with several others. By morning, my blood pressure dropped dangerously low, documenting me as citically ill (though she never told my husband or me it was critical). At least 6 hours after my arrival Dr. Martin ran toxicology tests with the results showing exactly what I stated I had taken to address the pain, no surprises, no shame. When I received my discharge documents, I discovered that Dr. Martin had fabricated statements, stating I said them about myself (I would never make up anything so damaging about myself), and created a negative and incorrect narative, now part of my medical record. Does this narative tie to my blood pressure that had dropped so low after being in her care and further medicated for over 6 hours? Just 24 hours after release, I developed an open draining wound at my pain site. I saw my surgeon where I received proper diagnosis, care and follow up, with no need for further pain management. Had Dr. Martin addressed the root cause of my acute pain & ran blood work, she would have discovered an extremely serious infection. Dr. Martin went down a rabbit hole of nonsense while I was seriously ill. I have been unsuccessful getting her statements corrected using the proper channels laid out by the hospital, over 4 months of proper process, respectfully. I've used our local hospital and health care system for decades, and spoke highly of it to family and friends. This experience changes that. The hospital's response below invites me to call their Quality Assurance line. That's who I've already worked with for months, following their process. I've taken it as far as I can with the hospital, respectfully, which is why I elected to leave this review."
