Ascension Wisconsin Hospital - Menomonee Falls

"This was my first time visiting this hospital. After registration I turned from the window and my cane went sliding away. I was able to avoid falling fortunately. The receptionist said,,,"the floor is wet" and I responded with signs would be great". She called out to a woman inside of the door that was evidently the one mopping. She didn't speak English and didn't understand the receptionist question. Turns out that there were 2 signs, one just ins de the main door way off to the side of it (this was not seen upon entering or exiting by 2 of us), ando ne was oside of the waiting room under the drinking fountain. The nurse comes out to get me on the other side of reception and out slides my cane again. She gets a wheelchair and rolls me to the room. When I go to stand, out goes my cane again. Turns out most of the hall was wet, but there was only a single sign towards one end. This hospital is dangerous. In a room the nurses were not friendly and caring. Very by the book only. No warmth. Blood work, urine test, doctor never even examined me. He only sat at the end of the bed and talked to me. I've had a lot of experiences with ERS in my life and this was cold and uncaring , not reassuring at all. I won't go there again, nor do I recommend. Edit - By Friday the pain and nausea had increased, but I was unable to get into see my doctor. Saturday morning I went into an Aurora Urgent Care . They immediately did another urine test, followed by going over the results from Tuesday at your hospital. What a surprise that the 5 out of 12 that showed abnormal on the first test now showed higher levels of abnormality. After an exam the doctor looked at the CT scan done at your hospital and said "I can see the cloudiness around both kidneys ". So my problem was totally missed. Now it's Mon morning, and I just received a follow up call from Aurora asking how I feel. They're going to have a doctor call me within the hour as the pain and nausea are not going away. Wow, real medical professionals. And tell me, why is everyone else's review getting a phone call, but not mine?"

"DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL! THE LACK OF BED SIDE MANNERS AND LACK OF PASSION FOR THEIR WORK SHOWS. THE DOCTOR I SEEN DID NOT CARE ABOUT MY CONCERNS I EXPRESSED! IT WAS ALMOST UNBELIEVABLE. HE WAS RUSHY,AND DIDN'T WANT TO DO ANY TESTING. I WAS HAVE BAD ABDOMINAL PAIN,AND I HAD TO ASK FOR SOMETHING TO SOOTHE MY STOMACH. I HAD TO ASK FOR A PRESCRIPTION TO HELP WITH MY SYMPTOMS. I WILL NEVER RETURN THERE,AND I WILL TELL ANYONE TO NEVER WASTE THEIR TIME"

"DO NOT GO HERE! My boyfriend had to come here because a different hospital in the area was too busy in the ER. His wrist is completely broken and ascension told him after XRays that it was “just a bruise” and to take ibuprofen. We then had to go another hospital (due to his pain) and he is being taken care of. Do not go to Ascension. They don’t know what they are doing and have neglected someone who is clearly in intense pain with a BROKEN WRIST. A broken wrist is not “JUST A BRUISE”."
