"A friendly, competent, and customer oriented branch of "Bank of America" - - once you are inside. The bank-tellers and workers make more than up for the rough and sketchy block they got assigned to by higher-ups and city planning. Helpful, friendly, clean (inside). Outside: Bank customer's personal safety does not seem a priority to Bank of America HQ or Berkeley city planning. PS.: It feels like an outpost in the Wild West there"

"Understaffed. Don't make any appointments at or later than 3pm at this branch, or you will be asked to leave and come back on another day. I had an appointment at 3:30pm and arrived at around 3. After 45 minutes wait, I was told that they were not able to help me because they close at 4 and there's not enough time to finish my appointment (even without asking what I need help with). Have to make another appointment on the next day."

"Even though they were understaffed and one of their main tellers was running late, the guy and the woman at the counter were so incredibly nice and patient. Even though I didn't have an appointment, they managed to squeeze me in to speak with someone."

"My experiences at this branch have been quite rough. They do not answer the phone, even when there are no customers in the store. Communication with the tellers is very difficult, as they seem to be missing important information that is vital for their customer service abilities. They also do not wear name tags and refuse to give you their first names. The situation escalated when someone named Ivory came to assist the teller with something they didn't know how to do. Ivory began to misgender me. When I asked to be addressed correctly, Ivory's response was, "Oh come now", and then continued to misgender me. I was quite shaken as the misgendering went on; I felt embarrassed and humiliated. I know I was visibly upset because the teller continued to say, "you can calm down or you can leave" while also misgendering me. These employees should be trained on how to better interact with different kinds of people."
