"It's a bit of a mixed bag. It works half the time just fine, but the other half there are so many issues. They have a bad habit of being late, and the person at the phone is trying her best to put it lightly (dispatch loves to put me on hold.) But there's like no other decent alternative that goes anywhere in Camarillo and Oxnard (the bus stops are too infrequent.) I will petition the city to change this broken public transportation issue that really hurts people who live away from bus stops and businesses that are far from bus stops. Nowhere near as expensive as Uber or Lyft, but it's nowhere near a great alternative. The bus system is great. Why can't the go access bus system be countywide? Please, if you can, stop using this service. #boycottdialarideCAT. They're always really booked, and it really hurts their service. And you can't even book online, so you have to make a phone call. And they put you on hold all the time for no reason. However, the drivers themselves are actually really considerate and nice. I won't victimize them here at all. It's not their fault that they're working for such a broken company."
"DO NOT USE BEFORE 7:30am! Dial-A-Ride claims to provide rides from 6am weekdays. The bus has failed to show up for me at 6:30am and 6:45am 90% of the time over the past 2 months. However 3 buses drove past my house before 7am this week but did not pick me up. Riders need to be aware of this issue."
"I haven't used this service in over a decade. Last time I used it the smell of marijuana was so strong, and the only person on the bus was the driver and my group. None of us used Marijuana. This was not my first bad incident with CAT, but it was my last. People tell me I can save money with them per the way I get around, but I want safety, not a little extra cash."
"I like it a lot it is a good idea to have and"
