"Daniel who works mainly in the tile department is awesome. Really knows his stuff, but has great communication and social skills. I know nothing about doing tile, but he explained it in a way where I feel like anyone could do it. I had planned to do a small repair for my in laws and I was successful especially through with Daniel’s knowledge and info for me. Thanks! Home Depot should give him the recognition he deserves. An amazing staff to have."
"I wanted to surprise my spouse by cleaning up the garage with new garage cabinets the HD offered via special order. I wanted it to be a surprise and keep it off the credit card. to my surprise i went to my local home depot and they would not accept my cash for the order!!!! my purchase total was near a $1000 and nope. if i have to use my credit card, ill just get them cheaper and faster off amazon."
"My husband and I went to look around and browse for possible home additions. I was searching for an item that they didn’t have, instead of the employee telling me they didn’t carry it, I was given a general aisle that of course didn’t have the items I needed because they didn’t carry them. When we went to check out, they had transitioned to self checkout, half of the stands didn’t work and when we needed a antitheft wire to be removed, only one employee had the demagnetizer, so we waited around until someone came by. The service was sub-par and laziness is taking jobs away from people and giving into the “you can do it yourself” mentality. I’m hoping my local Lowes will have better customer service and selection."
"They had the items that we needed and a lot more which was a big plus to have a wide variety. However I guess they are changing things up because they removed the actual checkouts and replaced them with self checkouts. They also no longer give veterans military discount unless they apply for it on their website which is very frustrating. They did not manually add the discount when asked and said the only way to get it was to apply. Don't think I'm coming back to home depot for a while if they can't even bother to checkout their customers or have respect for veterans or anyone applicable for the military discount."
"I need to SEE real floor models for 120 volt AC electric appliances to help electrify my home and help my neighbors do the same. Same goes for mini split ductless heat pumps, electric induction ranges, and SPAN circuit breaker panels or equivalent programmable logic panels. Can Home Depot please give electric power equal encouragement and stop promoting SoCal Gas company?"
