Reviews
"I had a racist encounter with one of the security guards last year which management dealt with appropriately. I previously stated this place was not safe for Black women yet deleted my last review because the matter was resolved only to frequent the spot again and have yet another incident this time with a bartender. Ladies, Black women especially, the work staff here holds deep hate and contempt towards Black women. I stand by my previous assessment that this place from the staff to the patrons show extreme disrespect towards Black women."
"The DJ performing last Saturday night (December 16th 2023 to be specific ) displayed extreme RUDENESS. I've never encountered such disrespect in a bar before. Around midnight, as the crowd dwindled due to the uninteresting set, some guests headed next door to The Exchange. Hoping to revive the dance floor, a Black Lady politely approached the DJ to request a newer, more energetic song. Shockingly, he rolled his eyes, grabbed the mic, and demanded money to even speak with him, rudely dismissing those who couldn't pay. His subsequent condescending remarks drove many patrons away, causing audible gasps and an exodus. This conduct is unacceptable; as a DJ, he should possess emotional intelligence and communicate politely with guests. Such behavior is utterly shameful and inexcusable."
"Great little place nestled on Spring Street. You would walk right by and not even realize its there. Great bar staff and music. Very loungy."
"Really good place to unwind. A lot of local people iykyk. Always a good time here. All the bartenders and security are nice and welcoming!"
"The bartender made the wrong drink... asked him to make a new one with the correct alcohol and he informed us that he has “been bartending for 17yrs” and asked if we wanted a refund and said yes if your not going to make the correct drink.... and I declined and asked for a refund and he gave me a refund and as he gave me the money back he told the security guard to kick me and my company out... even though we had spent a nice sum of money and left a nice tip. I have been to this establishment before and they treat paying customers in this manner...."
