"This organization is not transparent about the qualifications. I would have never submitted my application and waited for a response to be told the HUD guidelines were a 2 year average of the type of income received by the tribal member/s from the tribe. If those are the true guidelines why wasn’t this stated before I wasted my time filling out the application and waiting for a response? I had to wait additional days because the agent had a family matter and forgot about getting back to me. I called to get a second opinion and was to told to go to a credit union and try and get a conventional loan or a FHA loan and 1st tribal “can” refinance that loan next year. It doesn’t make sense to me why I would qualify for those loans and not this one. Make it make sense."
"As the owner of Drippé Homes, Inc we build and close 100’s of homes a year. I understand not every closing goes well. We recently closed with 1st Tribal on a custom home for the North family. Dealing with Addie Parker (loan processor) was one of the hardest, most stressful closings I have ever seen! We have built and closed over 900 homes. Please don’t put yourself or your clients through the HELL that is the First Tribal Process. They are truly incompetent and have zero empathy or common sense."
"I submitted a loan application 10 days ago and did not hear back. After 3 days I contacted the office and was told that the loan officer was behind and would get to my application by the weekend. Okay. I waited for another week and still heard nothing. I called back again and was told by the office manager that she had been dealing with a contract with tribal members which took priority because she couldn't have tribal members homeless. I called the corporate office to cancel my loan application. I am also a tribal member so that excuse for putting me on the back burner does not fly with me. I at least deserved a quick email letting me know that all of the info I had supplied them with for my application was not just flapping in the wind! I regret placing my trust in these people. They deserve no stars."
