"I like the school ! My son in kindergarten! I love his teacher ! I am so happy!"
"New principal this year. He seems like it is his first year as a principal. He put up new signs which would seem to indicate there is a widespread problem with children being safe, respectful and responsible. Apparently there are so few students that have met his criteria he can name them ...and does over the PA system. Making the rest of the children feel rejected and disappointed. He tends to ignore bullying even though there is a sign indicating zero tolerance. PTA is very strong here and seems to actually run the school. Example: the PTA wanted to use the multipurpose room to set up for an evening event so the children had to eat lunch outside in the cold weather. No thought for the kids just their event. Warning: the PTA is always asking for money for one thing or another. Principal needs to control the PTA and put the children first. As for the science fair, don't think for a minute it's fair or that anyone with a science background judges. The say that community members would judge but in reality it's parents and grandparents with no science background. Can you guess which kid won..yeap, a judge's kid and PTA members kids. Can anyone say partially and favoritism? Try getting a couple of professors at DVC. On the other hand teachers here are top notch. They know how to motivate the children and are loved and respected by the kids. There are some great role models in the teacher ranks. Lastly, but by no means exhaustively, there is no on-site parking just street parking. Staff gets testy if you are in their parking lot."
"I've had kids here corn 5.5 years and the teachers are amazing and the staff are awesome!!"
"School is a great place, where your kid comes first. Also used the class dojo app so you can see how your kid does everyday."
