"Bad Principal and vice Principal. I had worked as a substitute teacher in 3 school districts and Solano County Special Education. I retired and returned to Vacaville Unified. I had never had a complaint against me until I worked at Cooper School. I was treated so unfairly by Principal Ahn and vice President. It was the day before Halloween and students were a bit excited and i read them a story to calm them down instead of the math lesson. I was going to do the math right after the book reading. The Principal wouldn't even talk to me and disrespected me and reported me to Janet Dietrich and I was FIRED. I am almost 70 years old and this was a way of getting me out. I BET THIS REVIEW WILL NEVER BE POSTED. By the way I have a BA from college, plus extra credits in Special Education. I had previously worked for many years at VUSD and never had a bad report until I ran into Ms. Ahn. Her report on me was really cruel, mean and above all UNTRUE. I can't get a job now and I could sure use the money. I am now 71 and no school jobs available for me. I have made a copy of this. Carol Horner"
"I've only met 2 teachers so far, and so far they are great! However, this review is for 2 specific staff inside the office. It's been about 2 weeks since school started and today was The first day my kids went to school late. 2 days ago, on Wednesday, i was at work, and my husband was The one to pick up The kids. He lost track of time and did not have his phone with him so he forgot he had to pick up the 1st grader at 1. She was there until 2:30. That was The fist time late to pick her up. One staff told me today that we've been taking them to school late and picking them up late so we need to be more on time and more aware. THAT WAS THE FREAKEN 1ST TIME SINCE SCHOOL STARTED!!!!! The way they treat parents are so unprofessional and always rude. They've made me felt like I was the most stupid parent ever. Instead of rudely telling me I need to be more on time in picking up my child, why don't you and the district make a freaken parking lot for the parents so they wouldn't have to fight for parking or park a mile away. I believe parents do work, just like you. They don't lounge all day at home doing nothing, waiting to pick up their child. They don't have the freaken luxury of coming 30 mins early just so they can find parking. I bet they haven't even seen how bad the traffic is outside because they don't go outside. Oh and btw, having a 5 min difference for picking up different grade level is pointless. I know they are just doing their job because if they don't, they will get yelled at by their bosses, and their bosses will get yelled at by their bosses. Chain of command. However, they can choose to be more polite and professional. I've been nothing but polite to them from the very beginning and still am. I did not yell or make a scene when they treated me wrong. I'm just really over it. Oh, and did I mention today was 100+ degrees outside? Rant over."
"Awesome school so far I'm in 5th in the school, the principal and vice principal there is very nice to us, I have not got a mean (not strict) teacher there, I have not been picked on by a single bully (My appearnace is really easy to be picked on). They also used to put on MOVIES during lunch and every Friday we were able to dance to MUSIC, I really hope they bring it back! They also have Geography Bee and Spelling Bee. They have AR (Accelerated Reader) which has you read books and when you are done with that book you take a quiz on it it depends on how much correct answers you got and how much points and what level the book is, you get that much points and words, if you get a certain amount of words you get a medal! There is Bachelor's, Master's, PHD, I currently have 3 Bachelor's, 2 Master's and 1 PHD (I will get my Master's this trimester and on my way to PHD) Oh yeah, they also have a choir there for Christmas time (I did it my second time this year). If you are in 4th grade you get to have a little buddy to do activities with (same with 1st grade but 4th grade is big buddy). There is just so much awesome things in Cooper School if I explain it all there would be no more room for the review!"

"Cooper is a great elementary school. Great staff and respectful students, anyone that works in the school system knows that respectful students is hard to find these days."
