"This is a wonderful B & B. My wife & I stayed 3 nights. Had great breakfasts every morning. The taste of farm life was great. Very relaxing & beautiful views. The Hosts were Awesome. Highly recommend this place."
"We stayed 4 nights with our family of 5 plus a 14 month old baby. We stayed in the Sage and Lilac rooms. They were clean and comfortable. Don and Dorothy were excellent company and so helpful recommending local things to see and do. The breakfasts were amazing. The kids had a great time interacting with the cats, goats and their dog Max. Watching the cows in the pastures was relaxing. We enjoyed a gorgeous sunset by the fire every night. Thank you for a wonderful stay."
"Went to devil’s lake with my husband and decided to spend the night at Valley spring farm. Dorothy and Don were amazing and we very much enjoyed every single detail of our stay. Room was very nice and the bed was amazing! (Super comfortable). When we woke up the next day, Dorothy served us this awesome home-made breakfast! We will never forget the experience. Note: Max (the dog) and Tigger (one of the cats) will probably join your for a walk if you ever decide to explore the land. Best staff ever! Second note: please buy their meat. You won’t regret a bit"
"Valley Springs was our first Bed & Breakfast experience, and it was lovely. My husband and I were looking for an affordable weekend away for our 5-year anniversary and wanted to spend time at the Dells and Devils Lake. Valley Springs is about 30 minutes away from the Dells, and the drive was quite easy and relaxing. Don & Dorothy are very hospitable and genuine people. They’ll answer any question you have about their working farm, from family history to the types of pasture they plant to feed their cattle. It’s like a breathe of fresh air being out in their countryside oasis, and it makes you thankful for all our hardworking farmers. They gave us a farm tour through their property so you can see all the wonders of Wisconsin’s countryside. And if you love overly friendly farm cats and a fuzzy farm dog who loves attention, you’re in for a treat! We stayed in the Poppy Room which had a personal bathroom attached to the room. The room was upstairs and felt very private. It was quite spacious and the bed was very comfortable! I was surprised to see a personal air purifier in our room - our room smelled very clean and fresh! The WiFi actually works great, and there’s even a smart TV with Netflix set up. We didn’t have time to use the TV, but the option was nice. Because we were celebrating our anniversary, Dorothy worked with my husband to add on some locally growth flowers and chocolates, and at a great price! There was a small common area between the three “rentable” rooms with a keurig, small fridge/freezer, microwave, and a delightful assortment of coffee or teas. Dorothy’s delicious morning breakfasts are the definition of farm-to-fork. It’s a lifestyle for her family to grow, preserve, and cook their own food. Her breakfasts were served on adorable place settings in a secluded little sunroom attached to the kitchen. Farm fresh eggs from neighboring farms, slices of garden tomatoes, homemade coffee creamer, fresh made blackberry jam from their patch, homemade scones, the list goes on! You can tell she pays attention to detail and takes great pride in her craft. Her breakfast will make you feel right at home! Since it’s a working farm, we were even able to purchase a chuck roast and soup bones to take home with us, again, at some great prices! Most of the cattle is almost 100% pasture fed, so you know you’re getting quality. Pasture fed beef at grocery store prices, you can’t beat that! We were very happy with our stay and hope to make it back in the future. Would highly recommend this location over any hotel in the Dells."
