"The VA in general does a slightly better job of taking care of its patients then top-rated civilian Healthcare delivery Networks and organizations. The experience as a patient at different VAs is somewhat irregular, and I certainly have had less than stellar primary care providers in the past. I am., however, very happy w/ my current primary care physician who is thoughtful, considerate, hard working, and knowledgeable. The rest of my care here, since they replaced the unqualified and untrained moonlighters in the emergency department with actual emergency physicians has been uniformly above expectations. Besides primary care this facility is recognized for mental health and surgical care. I am hard to impress and a rather knowledgeable patient and I was really impressed w/ the sophistication of the anesthesia service as well as the ability of my surgeon (who I have had 2 procedures done and both turned out well.)"

"If you are a U.S. Veteran, it is a fabulous place for medical treatment. Also they have just finished building a separate Veterans Women's Center. State of the art, very welcoming. Staffed with women, top to bottom; doctors, physician's assistants, nurse practitioners, RNs, LPNs, etc."
