"We walked from downtown Pasadena on Colorado blvd. Our visit was near 5pm on a Sunday. Our hostess said a 45min wait for 2 persons. We waited less than 30 min to be seated. The design of the restaurant was contemporary with low lights and an upscale vibe. The hostess, the bartender, the server and any staff we encountered were just a delight and professional. Our meal Consisted of an artichoke appetizer, broccoli, mashed potatoes, steak and some wine. The steak was cooked as requested, medium rare but lacked in flavor compared to other steaks elsewhere in this price range. Thanks for the great service and romantic setting. We had a good time. "I adore this location. I go so much most of the staff know me on a first name basis. The food is always delicious and fresh and the ambience is very soothing and very upscale. I always order the spinach dip with my trout along with the ceaser salad. Simply scrumptious and the trout melts in your mouth. The house sauce they use is to die for. I could eat here every day if I dysyed closer. I drive over an hour just to dine here and it's worth every cent. Thank you Houstons for your excellent service and tasty dishes. Keep up the good work."

"I've been trying to eat here for years! Finally got a 445 pm reservation on a Monday to have dinner with out of town guests (who love going to the sf version of this). It isn't inventive enough to contend for a Michelin star but in every other regard it is equivalent to or better than such cuisine driven spots. The service is insane. Literally insane, not just by La's low standards but anywhere. I've never witnessed such service. The food is really good.... not Michelin star good but just below that. Book well in advance, is my advice."

"I had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at the Houston's in Pasadena. From the moment we entered, we were warmly greeted and quickly seated by our friendly and attentive host. The restaurant's location in the heart of Old Pasadena provided a charming, vibrant backdrop for our meal. Everything we ordered from the diverse American menu was spectacular. The Ruby salad was so fresh and flavorful. The Pan Asian salad with barbecue pork was phenomenal; the fusion of flavors was perfect. We also split an order of the popular coconut shrimp rolls, a Houston's specialty. Our server was extremely polite, attentive, and knowledgable about the menu offerings. She provided spot-on recommendations when we had questions and efficiently kept our water glasses full. From start to finish, the service matched the phenomenal food. I highly recommend dining at Houston's when in Pasadena. The convenient location, delicious and creative menu options, and exceptional service all came together to provide a five-star restaurant experience that I won't soon forget! This Houston's location is a local gem that's certainly worth a visit."
