"For some reason, this place, in particular, exceeded my expectations. It seems like they pay close attention to the small details. The bed was clean, and the room looked good. There was some minor damage to the hallway ceilings, but it was a great stay for so cheap."

"Great suburban hotel with easy access to St. Paul and Minneapolis. Super quiet—you can’t hear any cars on nearby streets or the freeway. Very clean, actually perfectly clean. Easy in/out to the freeway and free parking. I was very pleasantly surprised by this place and will stay here again"

"I'm not sure of the low star ratings of this hotel but they do an outstanding job here at the Hilton Oakdale location. Friendly service and very accommodating. Good breakfasts in the morning. Nice and clean rooms. 5/5"

"we ordered a king room but the last king they had available was on a floor with hockey kids so it was understandable and they gave us a discount. so i thought all was well but to find out we were kinda disappointed. the shower had what looks like black mold but the lady at the front told me it wasn’t bc her maintenance was rlly good about it. but it’s still concerning to any guest to see this above their shower bc if it is black mold showering can open up the pores and infect your immune system. there was also weed in the drawer which whatever but if kids were in the room that would have been a hazard. when i told the lady this she said “it’s still there?” as if we would have cleaned it up ourselves. you could tell it was covered up by room spray. also none of our surfaces were clean! there were still crumbs on everything and the mirrors weren’t wiped down either at all. staff was okay but our room wasn’t worth our cost. it’s okay for a cheap hotel but it’s nothing that nice maintenance wise."

"The staff was fantastic, especially "Princess" They were knowledgeable and helpful. The room was probably very nice once. Now, the paint and wallpaper in the bathroom are peeling. There is no fan in the bathroom so it is probably, partially, due to humidity. The bed was very comfortable but the pillows were horrible. I had a head/neck ache the whole time we were there. Go 9ers!!! ☝️"
