GrandStay Hotel & Suites Stillwater

"We had a family get together 3 weeks ago and decided to book 5 rooms at GrandStay Stillwater. Abdul was friendly on the phone and helpful. I was positive he had told me we had til check in to cancel a room if needed. Unfortunately someone was unable to make it because of a cancer diagnosis so at check in I tried to cancel that room but he said No, rules are rules and I should look at my contract he sent when I booked. I never received any contract so he printed out what was sent from their computer. Anyway, I paid for the extra room and at check out I asked for a copy of my receipt. He said he sent it to my email already which I didn't receive. He resent it and nothing. He then "manually" sent it and I got it. I called corporate after the weekend and finally after a week I followed up and they still didn't have an answer regarding a refund. But that same day I received an email from Mary saying they couldn't do anything because Abdul wouldn't budge. So it did No good complaining to corporate!! They offered me some points but there are many other places to stay besides a GrandStay!"

"We were given 5 star service at this very nice facility. It was clean and easy to get there. But the best thing was the hotel receptionist. Not sure if he was the owner, but he went above and beyond to make our stay memorable!!!"

"First room provided was so moldy and mildew filled that it was tough to breathe (Room 121). Offered two alternate rooms - one had sheets that looked as if they had already been slept in - the other was fine. Paid for dog friendly room and paid the additional nightly pet fee, but when my dog had wet paws from the outside he jumped on the bed. Because some surface dirt had transferred onto the sheets they charged an additional $150 fee for damages - for some dirt on the sheets. I asked what was damaged and he said he had pictures of dirty sheets. I said but don't you wash the sheets after checkout? Manager claimed that he washed them in peroxide he went to the store and bought but they had to be thrown away. He had no evidence of the super dirt that could not be washed with a simple run through a cycle on hot water like every other sheet on the planet, just a picture of them dirty before he washed them. Reviews tell similar stories of owner with unauthorized charges and terrible smells - wish I read more of them before staying."

"We had new floors installed and had to be out of the house for a few days. Not too many nice places are pet friendly but this place is. Four kids and four large dogs! Staff was friendly and had liked our dogs. Rooms are very clean , has a mini fridge and the kids got to enjoy the pool. A little mini local vacation while our house was being renovated."

"The hotel was nice and parking was great. The breakfast was okay but some fresh fruit options would be nice, even just bananas or apples. The staff was excellent! So nice and accommodating. I would book again due to the staff alone. We had a wedding to attend that started at 3pm and the GM and Front Desk person we nice enough to ensure we could check in early and get to the wedding on time. They were helpful, friendly, and just generally nice people. The staff was the best part of my stay and I would recommend it based on that alone."
