"Went in for severe UTERUS pain (that has been going on for five months). I am disabled and cannot advocate for myself so I had to take my mom, who knows my very complex medical history. They refused to let my mom in because she was a "helicopter parent" that "I didn't need". Was sent from the walk in clinic to the ER. Bullet points - they gave me pain meds even though I specifically asked for NO medication (pain meds react badly with me and I ended up writhing in more pain than I came in with). They finally let my mom in after I ended up having a panic attack and crying. The staff was terribly unprofessional, making it out that I was an imbecile for not getting an appointment with my gp - where as I and my mom had already explained that, 1, we just moved here. 2, no one is taking new patients instantly. 3, I HAVE an appointment, they're simply making me wait a long time for it (this pain has me on bed rest 20 hours of the day, so I'm cranky about this) The only help I limped away with was "just take more fiber! That'll fix it." To add, my mom is also a career nurse. They refused to believe that she was not an idiot. In conclusion, I am still in pain that is keeping me on bed rest. Nothing was taken seriously. I'm still blown away by how unprofessional they were. 0/10 do not recommend."
"I don't understand how or why you would advertise that your hours are 8:30 until 4:00 on certain days and then you turn patients away at 3:30 and tell them to go to ER for simple cough and fever? That is a CLINIC visit NOT an ER visit? Very disappointing that you try to do the best that you can to get your children in BEFORE the posted time and still are turned away and told to go to ER?? Very hard to want to keep coming to the "Local" "Healthcare for ALL walks of life" place when this is the type of treatment that is received. This is now the 2nd time this has happened in less than a year. Can not recommend to anyone that asks if this is a good place to go. Showed no care or concern. So disappointing."
"Waiting 5 days with out medication no one calls back hassle to get refills a vet with PTSD no meds but that's how this place is doctor is great the best the rest no sure very very disappointed in my refills 5 days no meds sad ."
"Went in to the Emergency room this afternoon and ended up getting Dr.Devries (Dr. Doorknob) this is the second time I have been to the emergency room and he was the Doctor. Both times he seems that the patient is bothering him, he would much rather be on his phone or chat with the nurses (not patient related). I don't spend a lot of time in the ER but when I do go there is something definitely wrong. I guess I will spend the extra time to go somewhere where they are concerned about you and not what what the nurses are doing tonight or what is new on the Internet."
"Although no hospital stay is ever "pleasant", the entire staff made my recent visit quite bearable. Every single one of my nurses, lab techs, and cleaning staff was so compassionate and caring. They all made me feel like a real person, not just a "name and birthdate" lol, especially at a time when I felt so low and totally less than human. Remember to always thank your caregivers... They're job is definitely not glamorous and you have no idea what each of them have seen during their career. Thank you all for providing me with such personal and compassionate care during my hospital stay! You have a great supporting staff BMC!"
