"Great location, clean and interesting hotel, but some quirks and not a great value. Booked through Air B&B, and although the price initially looks better than the competition, once Air B&B slaps on the booking and cleaning fees, it is comparable to other Canal Park hotels. They have a SAUNA, but we didn't know the code to get in. The key for the front door worked, but the touch-pad LOCK for our room did not; there were two thermostats in the room (confusing); the TV had Roku AND Direct TV (confusing); the staff was nice, but didn't explain how to operate the outdoor fireplace (learned from other guests); they had cornhole, but the boards were in one locked hallway, and the beanbags in another. Great coffee/espresso, great vistas, great location, and quaint . . . just work out the kinks."

"This place was a gem to find. Loved how small and intimate it felt with only a few rooms. The room we stayed in was quite spacious and very comfortable. We only stayed one night but would definitely be back - can’t beat this location!"

"Location is fantastic! We loved the balcony, and the sauna and outdoor fireplace are great amenities. Room itself, linens, furniture a little on the shabby side. Could use a refresh. Mattress in room #5 is extremely soft memory foam so not enough support for our old backs. All in all a cute place to stay but with a little TLC has potential to be phenomenal."

"The location is unbeatable being right in canal park and a short walk away from downtown and the lake walk. The room was nice with decent amenities (Nespresso machine and pods, free onsite parking, access to a nice deck and barrel sauna, etc) and the self check-in instructions were thorough and helpful. Had an issue with the room AC not working properly which made for a hot night sleep, but overall a good stay."

"We stayed in lovely And spacious Room 5 in dead of winter. Stairs are a little steep to room 5 in case you have orthopedic issues... All other rooms are ground level and easy access.. Sauna is awesome!! Ashley and Megan went out of there way to provide adequate communications for this unique experience. Slept really comfortably. They responded promptly to any of our needs and were welcoming to our pooch. Location was right off the Lake Walk so easy to get our dog out to potty and lovely Lake Superior...nothing beats the scenery! Thanks so much for creating a relaxing restorative and charming place! Be prepared to bring your own food or eat out. Definitely recommend and will return in future!!"
