"As someone who experienced a traumatic birth that ended in an emergency c-section with my first child, having the opportunity to successfully have a VBAC (Vaginal birth After Cesarean) with the Ashland Birth Center was healing and wonderful. Savita Jones is a second-generation midwife with thorough training, years of experience, and active engagement with the local clinic and hospital community. Dana Churness, her co-midwife, has also worked in the local community for years as a doula before beginning her certification process for her midwife license. I do not think I could have had a VBAC if I hadn't had the team from the Ashland Birth Center. Like another reviewer said, I looked forward to every appointment. Not only did Savita and Dana see to my and the baby's physical well-being during pregnancy, they also addressed anxieties I had as we moved closer to (successfully!) attempting a VBAC.
