"Incredible experience. It has to be known that the advances achieved during the pandemic accounts for the majority of the renovations completed since 2014. The restorations are breath taking. The tour guides took us back to 1850! I was in awe of the amount of authenticity to the building that was conserved even after the 1989 earthquake. I feel proud to live here now considering I've never known it was here. Great time!"
"See it on Open House. 1848 Two Story Adobe in process of restoration. Wonderful."
"Beautiful place, Alex the Ranger was an informative, lively and engaging tour guide!"
"It was a pleasant warm day, and the tour was excellent. Very enjoyable. Thanks! I'll be back again."
"It's cool. Friendly state park rangers, and volunteers. Charlie fo the Castro family told great stories about the history and repair efforts since it was condemned after the earthquake. Now steel reinforced, you can walk through both stories. Last year it was open only once. This year it's open one a month. Restoration continues. Thanks to Friends of Santa Cruz State Parks."
