"PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO VOLUNTEER I volunteered my time here as a high school volunteer from July 1st, 2017, to March 5th, 2019. During my time here, I went through two directors, two assistant directors, and about six other staff members. The current director, Megan Beckler, has been there for around two years. During this time, she had gained my trust and respect for her role. My job as a (ranking) Senior High School Volunteer was mostly to maintain behaviors and watch the middle schoolers who attended, although sometimes our responsibilities would move around and I would put out snack, or I would go outside and watch the middle schoolers there. Around January of 2019, I noticed that Megan's attitude towards the volunteers had changed. I saw that we were treated more like people who could take some responsibility off of her than we were as volunteers, being there for the experience and the kids. Even some rules were changed, mainly being how the set of keys I would carry everyday, mainly including the key for the sports equipment crate, shed, (With even more sports stuff in it) and the main front door and office keys, would now have to be signed out to someone for the day. Even though this new "rule" had been explained to us volunteers, (Mainly me and another high school girl) it was never actually enforced or treated. She also seems to go back on her word sometimes, or maybe even just change the rule she enforced earlier in the month completely. This is just my perspective, but myself and the other girl will no longer be volunteering there, much to my dismay. Again, just my perspective, but if you think of volunteering here, take this into account. Thank you."
