"Parked at visitor’s center which had no entrance fee. Hiking was easy from my perspective. I’m in shape in early 40s. My sister is not in shape and found it a little strenuous as it is hilly. I was surprised how much sun there was. Patches of trees but also meadows. The land was quite varied. We only lasted two hours before my sister gave out so not sure what the rest looked like but what we saw was well maintained and a fun hike."
"This place is super cool! Tons of different scenery and the railroad tracks along the trail are just amazing I wish I could have got a shot with the train coming. You can purchase your sticker and they have a museum inside I never knew about along with a ton of information. Highly recommend checking this out! I can’t wait to come back when everything is blooming to see how different it looks."
"Love the forest and always have a great time there. Lots of different activities to partake in including hiking, camping, mountain biking, and horseback riding. There is a lot of history on the property as well especially with Old World right there. Recommend for day trip or a few days if camping."
"What a hike! 6.41 miles on the green/brown trails over the span of 4 hours. We had a blast but the trails could’ve been marked more clearly. The overview was really pretty and would be really pretty in the summer/fall! Bring shoes that grip well in the winter for the paths are iced over."
