"The Retzer Nature Center is a special gem among all the nature centers in southeastern Wisconsin. The welcome center is filled with interesting displays of animals (alive and "taxidermied"). It's planetarium is an unexpected treat. But it hundreds of acres of hills and valleys, streams and wetlands, forests and fields is a treasure for anyone wanting to flee the urban for a quiet, reflective time closer to nature."
"Retzer is fun for all ages. Our kids ages 7 to 12 enjoyed the day roaming around the nature trails. Retzer has a fun nature playground. The trails are a great little escape to listen to the sounds of nature, observe wildlife and breathe in fresh air! Enjoy because there’s no entrance fee! Bring a picnic because there’s lots of tables and plenty of shade."
"Retzer offers lots of events/programs for kids/families. Lots of walking trails. However, late afternoons are crowded with people getting professional photo shoots done. That kind of sucks."
