"We visited the cemetery and chapel after the tour of the Tailiesin buildings (architectural school and main house). The chapel was not open so we looked at the structure from the outside and walked through the cemetery. The building was posted to be in repairs but was open for booking weddings and funerals. One can view the headstone for Frank Lloyd Wright (even though he is no longer buried there), his beloved Mamah, and ancestors of his mother's side of the family (Jones). There are also spots reserved for future relatives and extended family of the Jones family."
"Historic chapel and cemetery adjacent to Taliesin. Final resting place of Frank Lloyd Wright's family, children, and his onetime love Mamah Borthwick (who was one of seven people brutally murdered at Taliesin in 1914); he has a grave here too but is no longer buried here--his cremains are in AZ. There is a small dirt lot a little ways down from the chapel. Also you can park on the shoulder or use the paved walking path from the Visitor Center or walk the forested Welsh Hills Trail to the chapel. Very pretty area with pretty views of Taliesin property."
"Beautiful setting and significant piece of architecture. An understated approach to a church. There was no real driveway into the property and it was unclear whether it was a working church or a historical site. The drive is beautiful as is all of the Driftless area of Wisconsin"
"Original burial ground of Frank Lloyd Wright. Gorgeous property, well taken care of. Parking is a little tricky but maybe I was in the wrong place. Church was locked but looked gorgeous."
"Nice site; Frank Lloyd Wright's first design. Building has undergone some restoration. The adjacent cemetery is touching. Heartbreaking that Olgivana had the hubris to wrench Wright's body from the ground, cremate it (he was afraid of fire!), intermingle her ashes with his, and relocate his final resting place away from Taliesin, his family's home ground, and Mamah's gravesite. Tragic."
