"I was not satisfied with my son's previous endocrinologist because I felt a lack of personal investment in our needs as a family having to deal with special needs children. That said, being a clinician myself, I perfectly understand the fine line between not taking your job home with you but also grasp the absolute need to be as present as possible in the moment with your patients. So with an almost shamefully critical eye, I watched. I saw how friendly and welcoming the front office was when my son and I checked in and immediately recognized how attentive they were making sure everything was in order as we filled out all the necessary forms. I observed how purposely careful Tobhen was as he took my son's vitals, height, and weight. He even took my height - twice - because there was no way I clocked in at 5 foot 2 (I was just under 5 foot 3 without cheating on my second attempt.) I observed how meticulous Dr. Naidu was as she examined, palpated, and measured my son. I noted how precise her questions were as she went over his medical history with me and was more than overjoyed to find out she had one other patient with the same affliction that both my children suffer from. And finally, I appreciated how UN-rushed she was while typing in his lab orders into her computer, being careful enough to separate the ones that needed fasting versus the ones that did not. In the end, I was completely and utterly satisfied I had found the endocrine specialist that my son absolutely needed and will be bringing in my daughter to see her in the future.
