"Whitewater State Park is undoubtedly one of the best state parks in Minnesota! The hiking is exceptional, with stunning views around every bend. The campground is well-maintained, featuring spacious lots, and remarkably, there are no mosquitoes in the summertime! This is a destination you need to experience firsthand. The best part for me—though perhaps not for everyone—is the limited to no cell service. It's truly refreshing to disconnect while out camping!"
"Definitely one of the better state parks that Minnesota has to offer. There are so many unique and picturesque natural features that this state park has to offer. The stone block bridge that streches across the river is fun and beautiful. The many sections of rapids throughout the river are fantastic. Hiking up to the top of the bluff is a little challenging, but definitely worth the trip with the amazing views you get from the top. I saw a few deer and cardinals on my trip in February. Great visitor center and campgrounds. Highly recommend."
"The picturesque limestone bluffs and deep ravines make Whitewater a very popular southeastern state park. The 2,700 acre park is an angler's paradise with brown, brook, and rainbow trout swimming in the spring-fed Whitewater River and Trout Run Creek. Visitors enjoy a sandy swimming beach, a year-round visitor center, easy-to-challenging hiking trails, camping, a group camp, and a modern group center. In the winter you can enjoy cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, and stay at the group center in rustic, winterized cabins. All through the year, discover the natural and human history of the area at one of the many interpretive programs, visitor center exhibits or self-guided trails. The park has modern bathrooms with an outside sink for watching dishes"
"This is amazing. Growing up I'd come here. But only the daily use. So to stay was great. We loved the site, they are a little close. But it seems there are two campgrounds now. The hikes are AMAZING. they are so nice and groomed. We can get high up on the hill tops. We saw so many spring babies this year! There is a swim beach."
