"Short hike, great views. If you're lucky, you can see the train come by. The trail is a little confusing - there are multiple parallel trails. You kinda have to go off the trail onto compacted dirt to see the cool views. Most of the trail goes through grassy lands. Be careful near the cliffside. Its a steep drop. The Minnesota side is kinda far and hard to see. Awesome spot in fall, especially on a mostly sunny day."
"Nice little pit stop just passing through the city, worth the stop. The trail itself was a bit unkept but I walked the whole path just fine. You can cut straight to the outlook though, But be careful there's no guards in place. We were as high as the hawks soaring right by us!"
"Cool stop on one of the best scenic drives in the midwest. Don't believe the story on the signage about a suicidal native American girl throwing herself off the bluffs because she was in love with a white man. It's BS. Mark Twain said there are dozens of examples of this same story that can be found at various stops along the entire length of the Mississippi River. BUT the area is beautiful."
"A moderate, short hike to some great overlooks of the Mississippi and the bluffs of the Minnesota side. It was very enjoyable. The trail was well packed and hilly so it was more than just a quick, easy hike."
"Absolutely gorgeous spot. Hard to find (thankfully) as there is no signage pointing it out on the drive. No marked trails and most are overgrown. I would highly suggest wearing long pants and a long sleeve as some spots on the trails have thorns sticking out into the path. Tons of great lookouts to check out in the area."
