"I love this place. I think it would be fun to put a beginning mark by the lift bridge and then mark the lengths of some of the boats that come in all the way to the 1013 ft on maybe on the railing along the canal. Maybe different colored signs that you could see from both ends. That would put the different sizes of boats in perspective for the kids.(and us adult kids!!)"
"Fun historical experience! At the museum you will be able to see items from real ships from the area. You will have an opportunity to see videos, photos, and put yourself in the position of being a captain. Our kids beg to come here every time we are in town. A Duluth must do!"
"This is a small but very nice museum about Lake Superior Maritime History. Has lots of good displays and photos, including some nice ones of the aerial lift bridge. There's even a "control room" of a large boat. Restrooms are clean and well maintained too. There is a nice balcony/landing outside where you can watch the bridge. Great place to spend some time while visiting Duluth."
"AMAZING MUSEUM! The exhibits were interactive and engaging for all ages. I loved the assortment of recreations, pictures, and facts. So informative and beautiful. The view of the lake is beautiful and the gift shop had a large selection as well"
"Lots of great information and cool things to look at. Definitely a lot of history in the building. Gift shop was small but nice. The older lady was a little rude with little kids. Could interact with different items and watch movies also. It was free to visit and hours were great cause open tell at least 8 p.m. if I remember right."
