"I've only met with him once. He is always gone and having other doctors step in for him with students. He doesn't know how to properly hold a baby either. If your child is a few months old, he will hold the baby as if he/she can sit up on their own making the baby have their head roll around and snap from front to back. I have yet to see him actually do something about my son. He has his assistances take weight, height, and temp. The 1st and only time I met him, he only asked me about whether I was still breastfeeding and if I had any questions. The doctor who stepped in for him before this was more attentive and understanding and more involved with the care of my son. I don't like this doctor. He just wants money."

"Do not take your children there!! Dr. Rios is awful! I only went with him because after having my son he was at the hospital to check up on the newborns. My daughter had a bloody nose and was throwing up, I called his after hours number only for him to call and NOT give me advice when I asked what he thought we should do but to say you can do what ever you want to do and did not answer any of my questions. Also his office recommended my son to get his head checked out because of a flat spot and lump on the back. The specialist they sent me to recommended treatment and Doctor Rios would not authorize my insurance to cover the treatment even after referring them to me. Being very rude he called me saying that it was not medically necessary for treatment, even though his nurse said it was, including the specialist. He always seems negative, and unsupportive exactly the opposite of what you hope for in a doctor for your children. Take your kids to a better Pediatrician who really cares!!"
