"They really need to hire more people that are parents with kids of their own that have special needs so they can really connect with clients better and give them proper service. There is many kids and families struggling to give their kids proper care but the system fails because we have no workers that are experienced in this field of work. Start hiring parents that are your clients to work from home and I bet they will make the place much better. You can’t help someone when you don’t know what they’re going through and this is how I feel this organization is doing. Hiring people that will never be able to help others because of their lack of empathy, knowledge, understanding, and ethics. We parents should start standing up for our babies and I’d love to gather a friendly group to see how we can start making a change for our special needs we need to make noise for them. Just like all these racial live matter stuff…. Well so do disabled lives."
"Kern county CCS has been very difficult to work with. I feel like it’s me having to pull teeth to get them to get the ball rolling. We are a transfer from riverside county. I was told the transfer should be flawless and my daughters PT and OT should start right up once everything is sent over. We have been waiting since February going back and forth with Kern county CCS. From referrals to signatures and both times takes weeks for anyone to get back to me. I have been the party to reach out first. 2 times I was told they are waiting on my daughter doctors. And both times the paperwork was sent back to CCS. My daughter isn’t even 2 yet and I feel like she is missing out on the crucial time. We have been approved for services yet it is now the end of June and we are still waiting on CCS. I feel like with this much time passing, they show that they do not have the child’s best interest in mind."
"They do nothing for you. My son needs medical equipment and to see a specialist and his regular doctor puts in for it and it gets denied because of CCS. Then they never have any answers. Really thought they were supposed to help not make things more difficult."
