Riverview Ranch Apartments

"They stole $400 from me just to apply. Don’t even bother. You can have a years worth of rent up front and the lazy leasing agent by the name of Chloe won’t even be able to comprehend anything beyond what their computer screen tells them to say. So here’s the story.. I’ve got cash in hand ready to rent. I’ve been told that there is availability on Dec 1st. I’m ready to move in. The girl tells me that I need to put down a $200 refundable deposit to hold the apartment and then I need to go online to apply. The application fee is $50 and sense it was both my fiancé and I applying we had to pay that fee twice so it was $100. Then we wait until the next day and we call in to see if our application has been approved. Apparently there was a problem with our application because my fiancé entered her ssn incorrectly. So we had to send in a picture of her ssn so they could run the application again. So we wait, again, another day, and then another day. Mind you we are urgently trying to find a place to live. So after waiting 2 days we decide to call them again to check on our application and THANK GOD WE DID, because they hadn’t even run the approval check yet. Then she tells us that she will get right on it and will get back to us by the end of the day. She calls us at 2, we excitedly answer hoping to find out good news. But she’s just to tell us that she needs to charge us again for the application, another $50, we’re desperate for a place to live so we so we say ok. We wait again, at 3 she calls again, only to tell us that the apartment that she told us would be available on the 1st won’t be available until the 15th. Another 2 weeks. There was a typo. Idiots. She asks me if I still want to run the approval check. SHE HADN’T EVEN RUN THE APPROVAL CHECK YET!!! Regrettably I agree. And she tells me the she will be able to call me back with an answer in 5 minutes. 5 MINUTES???? You mean you could have done this 2 days ago????? 10 minutes later she calls us back and tells us that they need to be able to verify current employment. I don’t have a job. I’m a day trader. I have cash. She can’t comprehend this and tells me there is nothing they can do. I as for the holding deposit back and she tells me it’s non refundable. She tells me that we submitted a fraudulent application (mixed up ssn) basically tells me we only have ourselves to blame. At this point I hung up and I won’t be dealing with them again. They stole $400 from me and they will try to scam you too. Avoid at all cost. The floor plan they showed was awful too, shabby, cramped, and bland. I was settling for them to begin with."
