"Very clean prt friendly neighbors r sweet n kind"
"Do not move here. Just moved here a month ago and totally regret it"
"I have lived there for almost 3 years. And I am happy to say that I am no longer living here. Where to begin… Ill start off with the positive. Its in a great location. Thats it. It was semi affordable but you can find a much better place for around the same price. There is high rate of turn over with the staff. When I first got here the PM was good. Brandon stayed on top of things. However he quit and this place has been going sideways ever since. I have had at least 5-7 different property managers over this time frame. Sometimes they don’t last more than a couple weeks. Maintenance staff is only available once a week, regardless of the severity of the issues. I put in a ticket to have my kitchen sink fixed (It wasn’t draining, couldn’t clean dishes because there are no dish washers) and it took them over a week to get it fixed. I have had so many issues with the garbage disposal that the maintenance man left a tool there and showed me how to fix it. (Instead of replacing it) What kind of place shows the tenants how to “fix” the issues instead of just replacing it? The water is shut down on a regular basis. There are almost weekly “emergency” checks where the water will be off for the entire day. Sometimes you get an email. Other times not so much. It has gotten a little better recently with the emails. But only a little better. If the water is on then it is hit or miss if you will have hot water and/or water pressure. Once I didn’t have hot water for 3 days. The washing machines are always breaking too so being able to do your laundry is hit or miss too. They had a huge sewage leak and kicked out half of the people that lived 2 buildings from us. Since parking is tight, I have to park back on marathon by the school. You could smell the sewage as you walked by. Really disgusting. In the time Ive been living here, Ive never seen them clean the pool properly. I would not swim in that pool if you paid me. Its very dirty and not taken care of. Wouldn’t be surprised if it is not up to health code. There will be kids swimming in one end with floating trash at the other end. Extremely grimy. Everything in other reviews about the roach problems are spot on. I had roaches in my apt within a WEEK of moving in. The treatment for it is weak. They are always using different companies so there is no continuity with them. I had someone come in and put some traps down and they were left there for almost 2 months before they came back. Even with the inspections roaches continue to be all over the community. I don’t have pictures but if you check on yelp, you can get a good idea from some of those. Some of them are HUGE. Literally all over the complex. They don’t do regular checks of the units. Which could be one of the reasons why there was a huge fire in one of the buildings. After the fire they came through to do inspections and were going to replace one of the smoke alarms. ( they still haven’t come back to replace them and this is 3 months later) Clearly the community fire was a non-issue for the management company. I discovered there was mold growing on the back wall in the master bedroom. I told them about it, it took them a week to get someone out to ‘examine' it. I was then told that the process would take only a couple days to remedy. The cleaning has taken well beyond the initial 3 day estimate and its not finished yet. (We are now working on day 5 of not being able to sleep in the master bedroom) They still have to take it back to the lab. Meanwhile this machine is still going in the bedroom. The barrier came down and I called someone to come put it back up (No response, No call back. I had to put it back up myself.) Mind you this is mold and a serious health violation. I had to put it back up myself. This is one of the lowest quality places that I have ever lived. At first the rent was reasonable @ 1500, but now its $1700. There are much better options for that price point in San Diego. Do yourself a favor and don’t live here. ** They just raised the rent as a I was moving** Its now $1750."
"One of the worst and most expensive in all my years as a tenant renting apartments in San Diego. Maintenance consists of a man in a truck who does not speak English will take your complaint to home depot and back as fast as he can once a week. This means if you blow a power circuit o a Thursday and he comes Wednesday's you will be out of luck for power half of your home for the remainder of the week. The windows are old. New carpet is cheap and wears fast, the walls are thin and the heaters work poorly. When we turned ours on the wall smoked and we never dared tried it again. Space heaters are mandatory. Very cd winters, very hot summers. Managers are super nice however maximum rent Increases at every opportunity after only 4 years there rent went from 1500 to 1725 for a 2-2. The owners are brave and money hungry but get well away with it because it's San Diego. Keep looking friends. The very worst part of these terribly old buildings is the hot water. Had to flush the toilet and hold the toilet flusher down while taking a shower to get hot water .worse part is it was reported and they even checked it out and saw that when you turn the shower on hot it's ice cold but when you flush it's scalding hot . Toilet fills back to ice. Same scenario with second bathroom and kitchen sink. They sadly only apologize and said they were glad we found a work around! MOVED OUT ENOUGH SAID. However the staff was pleasant and professional the entire tenancy to the T. Other tenants are rude and crude. Smoke weed in front the house with their kids present for shame. I am no angel but at least leave it in the bathroom or wait til the kids go to bed. Not here. I know manager is workingon this but stinky cheese weed blunts in the pool area not cool for my 8, 10, 11, and 15 yr olds. Sorry guys discretion please. Last but not least roaches everywhere you set the table and come back and roaches on the plate! We are a clean house but they come out of the light sockets. We had an upgraded unit with new floors and paint no signs of roaches on MOVE IN. They came in the showers and walls. Then they never left after 3+ yrs and the owners would not assist . The managers were nice and polite but they said the owner just wanted to bait and spray every week forever. So now we have bait and dead roaches everywhere. And they give us a notice that they need all the cabinets cubbords, closets, bathrooms, kitchen , and each room items 6" from the walls to treat for roaches. They threaten if we didn't clean up their mess we would be in violation of the lease because pest control will have to reschedule (sigh). I go no further. So we cleaned, roaches came back . I will cast no judgment just share the experience."
"I am staying in this apartment only because it is near to my office. Poor maintenance service. I had a very bad experience recently that my living room got flooded and carpet got damaged due to pipe line breakage in the next apartment. Apartment manager initially agreed to stay in hotel as we had a baby at home. I stayed at a hotel for 1 week and but the carpet got replaced after three weeks. And finally we had to pay the hotel bill by ourselves and it was a lot of man work for us to move the furniture and there was no help from the management/staff. There is a pipe leak in bathroom tub from more than an year and the maintenance hasn't taken any action on that yet.Whenever i raise the request they reply saying tighten the tap. I am totally frustrated. In addition to this they increase the rent every year.It was $100 increase in monthly rent till last year and this year they increased it by $ 200. Only advantage is that it is near to my baby's day care and my office.Hence I am giving one star. i won't suggest this apartment to any friends ."
