Reviews of Casa Urbana Apartments
"I've lived here for 7yrs, the units are tiny, perfect for a single male or minimalist couple. The people on my side of the complex are mostly friendly and considerate. My unit had a fridge size closet that only holds my suits, so I had another closet built. Looking for another place with a big closet, but still here in the meantime. Hope I find a new place before rent hits $1,500 because it's definitely not worth that price. No AC, my fridge and stove are not the best, there's always something breaking down and sometimes they charge you to fix something that might had needed to be replaced a while ago."
"People don't understand when reviewing apartments; unless you have another place at the same price range and amenities to compare it to, this place tops the others. Although windows and walls are thin, and no exterior exhaust for range hood, this semi 1 bedroom has hot water, heater, extra parking spaces to rent, local laundromat, discounted internet prices, and a property manager who does what she can to make living more comfortable. Been here for a year now and still outshines other places at its affordability and amenities. Shout out to Karen for making this place a comfortable place to be."
"Ok. I live here now. Been here for almost 3 months. The walls AND THE FLOORS are PAPER THIN. The floors squeak in most areas. You can hear fosits being turned on, water runing, doors opening/closing, conversations, E V E R Y T H I N G can be heard! my guess, zero insolation between the floors and walls. Unfortunately for me, i live above a woman who is home 24/7 has two small kids and a new born who is always crying. But nothing is more loud and constant than that woman yelling and insulting those poor kids as she orders them around the apt. YES, I can hear everthing she says/yells. So if u value quiet and don't want to hear every little thing your neighbor does and says, stay away from these poorly built apartments. Oh and your parking spot will be very far away from your apt. And they won't move your spot despite safety concerns and having plenty of empty spots."
"Don't live here, now I was potentially going to contact the owner to set up an appointment to view the apartment but the information they posted completely changed my mind. It goes through the normal information what tenant is responsible for etc but this is down right shady and thievery. Read below "Refrigerator and stove available and working, but will not be repaired or replaced if or when they malfunction. Renters insurance required." This shows how cheap and greedy the owner is, it is their duty to replace appliances if they break but that explains why the cheapskates require renters insurance. That's a potential lawsuit for the owners in the making. Thank you to whomever made the Craigslist posting you saved me from dealing with con artists."
"Basically, the old Bay Vista Suites with an IKEA furniture facelift that you see a lot of roach motels doing so they can hike up the rent a few hundred. Lived there for 7 years and moved away. Came back to visit and almost spit out my drink when the manager told me how much they charge for rent now. Almost a $400 increase just for some new fixtures, floors, and paint that I could've done myself for about $2500 if that. In any case it doesn't justify charging people $1000 a month for apts that are so tiny. They even filled in the pool with concrete and chopped all the trees down which makes no sense. Now when you drive in there it really feels like a motor inn. Place feels abandoned now. Probably fits perfect for single military saps with no kids. I have a feeling thats the demographic they were aiming for anyways when they renovated the place"
