"We recently had an emergency with our apt at Bayside. The manager, Taylor Sinatra was most gracious, helpful, professional&efficient! Classy lady! Thank you Taylor and your amazing team!!!"
"The sole benefit to living here is the location. That is it. We have lived here for 7 years and there have been at least a hundred water shutoffs. Most without warning. Every water shutoff is an “emergency” because it’s usually a slab leak. All of our adjacent neighbors have had their ceilings sawed open to fix leaking bathtubs above them. The roach problem is getting worse. The plumbers go to the wrong apartments sometimes. The leasing office is more concerned about scamming new potential residents into signing leases than taking care of current residents. All the negative reviews are very true. I could write a book about the past 7 years. The current management company took over just before Christmas in 2020 and laid off all the previous employees and discontinued contracts with garbage collection, etc. and gave us less than two weeks notice that we needed to pay rent with a physical check because they didn’t have an online portal yet. Garbage rooms were overflowing into the new year. They’ve gotten a little better but now it’s impossible to contact anyone in the leasing office because, again, they’re always taking people on tours and selling false promises. Additionally, they’re always changing stuff in the lease. 7 years ago, it was a nonsmoking community. Now, it always reeks of weed. The flood addendum was added by a prior management company 6 years ago after a bunch of first floor apartments flooded during heavy rains. Constant problems with mail delivery. Honestly, it could fill a book. Edit: less than 24 hours after posting this, we were woken up by an SDG&E planned power outage that affected all of Coronado. They claimed they let the property manager know on Jan 8 and that they were supposed to notify the community. They had 12 days to let us know, and they didn’t. It’s always something. First time we’ve lost both power and water within the same day though! Why does location beat all the negatives (most days)? For one, Coronado is a very quiet, walkable, nice place to live. Two, if you or your partner work on Coronado, you totally avoid the bridge (which shuts down every so often for indeterminate amounts of time). I’d rather deal with a four hour water shutoff than being stuck on the bridge for four hours (although a four hour water shutoff is definitely on the shorter end of the shutoffs we have..)"
"Horribly managed. The pool has been closed for 3 of the last 4 summers but rent was raised 10% every year. Constant flooding, water shut off's. One time the water was turned off for 5 days and management refused any type of compensation for that huge inconvenience. They said we could use the restrooms and showers in the gym but every single shower was broken and they locked the doors at 11 so we didn't even have a restroom to use after that. These are just a few examples of the things that happen here."
"This community deserves a five star review, as well as the team that runs this beautiful property. I have been here for two months, and I have found nothing but kindness, incredible service, a willingness to help and a true piece of paradise. I have to shout out Janelle and her team because they are an amazing group of women who run a pristine property. if you have any complaints about this property, you truly do not know what it is like to live without. I am incredibly grateful to live in this community and I would recommend it to anybody who is looking for a place that feels like home and cares about. It’s a residence."
