Palm Central South Apartments

"First, living here wasn’t horrible. I actually recommended this complex to a lot of people! Good quality for the price we paid at the time. A lot of people in the complex live there for a long time and we can see why! We only moved because we ended up finding a home to rent and decided we needed more space. But we loved our little apartment. Good community and tbh we think we had the best apt since it had pretty views of trees from our window! So close to the plaza and we didn’t mind calling this place home. BUT beware on move out. We had an inspection, and expected to have to pay for cleaning fee and carpet replacement. No issue. BUT the inspection was documented improperly and we were way overcharged for paint. We had moved from one apt number to another the year before in the same complex and weren’t fined NEARLY that much for the same issues. When we spoke to the front office, they said they would fix the charges and “absorb the cost themselves since they didn’t document the inspection properly and they don’t feel good about charging something there’s no proof of” and I made sure to clarify it wouldn’t be sent to collections before I left. I told them I was fine to pay a little extra for cleaning than the security deposit which covered the carpets, and to send me an updated invoice with the bogus charges removed. Well they never sent me an updated invoice. That was in December, move out was Nov 28th. Now it is March. They send the invoice NOT to me but to COLLECTIONS. I had to drive back to riverside now 2x to meet them in person demanding this be rectified. It’s been 2 weeks now where they were supposed to call the collection agency to remove the charges. Apparently they only removed a portion of the charges. This has dragged on for MONTHS, and their lack of proper documentation and false charges has cost me time, gas and emotional energy since it was sent to collections. I’ve never had ANYTHING sent to collections!!! I will not stop contacting/coming into the offices until ALL charges are removed. I’d still recommend living here, but make sure you beware of the move out process. Document everything and fight for what’s just if you see a bogus charge."

"My family member used to live here! Super cute and quiet, not a lot of parking but that’s fine. But they are now trying to charge her way too much in “move out fees”!! They wrongly charged her , which they admitted to and agreed to remove the fees. However they failed to remove the charges and now sent it to collections after saying they would take care of it. On top of that she has been calling multiple times with no answer or call back. Beware"

"Good until the new management took over. They'll promise you features until your lease expires then change the plan so you have to decide to move or accept new agreement. Save yourself some heartache and spend your money elsewhere."

"If can give 0 star, I’ll definitely rate like that. Used to be good unit till change management. The front office always locked and they did nothing for registrants. I’ve ask for many times to do some maintenance, till I move nobody coming but charge me when I was leaving! Finally, they emailed me some their rules and told me they don’t have any records for my requests. My parking space was several times occupied. Anyway, this unit is not worth for this prices under their management."

"Used to be good until this new management showed up. First of all the management lady is rude. Second, they’ve had visitor parking up front and we were able to park there for the 3 years we’ve been there. Up until this new management started here. They changed their visitor parking signs to “employee” parking over night and put a tow sticker on my car. You only get one parking spot if you have a one bedroom apartment, and the street sweeper comes by every 1st and 3rd Friday. Have fun paying those street sweeper tickets twice a month if you only get the one parking spot. This place was better before."
