"Posting this knowing full well the vindictive staff at VG will respond with lies and slander, because that's how ghetto and unprofessional this apartment complex is. I was never served a notice to vacate and was actually propositioned to renew my lease for another year before I gave my 30 days notice. The facilities are 1970s old and outdated. The units they show you are not the units they end up renting out. The pools are usually full of drunks with glass bottles. The grounds are covered in canine feces and smells like a kennel. The creek floods during these storms and throughout the year houses homeless people that break into the cars. Many units have fleas and/or roaches. The noise is ridiculous and the staff does not care. Dangerous people and criminal elements are very present and police sirens are a constant here. The staff is aware and will gaslight you and blame you if anything happens. Pit bulls are allowed to attack children under the cover of emotional support animals, very unsafe environment for a family. Considering the extreme cost for this GHETTO place, I would recommend looking elsewhere in La Habra for your next home."
"One year later and I am out of that complex. What started to be a happy time for me quickly turned into a nightmare. The neighborhood is cool and the majority of my neighbors were good. Management is whatever honestly but other than that there is nothing else that I will give this place credit as being good. I lived in the “newly built Apartment 7 (former leasing office)”, boy what a show that has been. The apartment was not internet ready at move in, the spectrum tech unplugged the smart hub and my pregnant gf and I were out in the cold until the maintenance got permission to drill out the lock on the double doors. I told my gf to go to the store while I waited with them, an hour and fifteen minutes it took and I had no sweater. The kitchen sink pipe leaked badly three months into move in and soaked everything. The cabinets started coming loose 5 months in then one actually completely came off it’s hinge at 7 months. The screen door stopped sliding well and would not line up. I had to give up my emotional support animal because they did not accept my proof that I needed him. (I was willing to pay the rent and everything) The best part is coming up, imagine coming home every day and wondering why it’s so humid. Constantly feeling humidity. I even bought air purifiers and it didn’t help. Finally about 8 months in I noticed the drywall inside the bathroom rotting. Called and they came, apparently a pipe was leaking. They patched it up and there. Still humid, and at 10 months the other wall of the bathroom was rotting, called again, they fixed it and apparently it flooded the neighbors bathroom too. They closed off the restroom and left us without a toilet, I had to drive us to the gas station at 1 am to ask to use the restroom. The finalé was when we were moving out, a small closet where I kept several items and my clothes, completely full of mold. We got mold on several items and my clothes are probably going to have that mildew smell forever. We were living in a moldy environment for who knows how long and a child in the home. To top it all off when I cleaned out the bottom of the sink the pipe was leaking again. If you are considering moving into this place, either stay away or get their older apartments. Not the renovated trash. Eff this place and to my neighbors, thanks for making this stay more tolerable for us. P.S. they took away all of my deposit for “cleaning and painting” like it’s my fault this stuff happened smh"
"Rented a one bedroom unit several years ago. First, it's a corporate landlord property. Cockroaches galore, probably due to untidy neighbors. Poor soundproofing, so if you have noisy upstairs/downstairs/neighboring neighbors it is unfortunate. Remember to disconnect your electricity soon after you leave. They will find every small thing to deduct from your deposit. Last issue is my parking spot neighbor, whom I have never spoken to, had some issue with me. Let their pet take a dump in front of my parking space on more than one occasion (informed the front office, as I am not going to clean it up, but they did not really prioritize that), also slammed their door on several occasions into the side of my car (no video evidence, so could not do much). Maybe the two bedroom units are better, but would not come back in the future."
"Most disgusting experience of my life I toured a bunch of units since I’m planning on moving soon. The sales rep informed me these units were ready for “immediate move in”. I was touring the Sierra floor plan unit 264 and sat on the carpet. A bunch of fleas started jumping on my skin. I told the sales agent I was working with that this happened. She said she’s have someone come out to spray the unit. This is so disgusting and unacceptable this unit was marketed as ready for immediate move in. I asked them if the previous owners had pets she said she couldn’t tell me for “privacy reasons”. I’m traumatized and my body is covered in flea bites."
"I just moved in to village green from Illinois and I can’t begin to express my gratitude to the village green team and how helpful they were through this entire process. My sister also lives here and so happy I listened to her. Super peaceful and beautiful apartments. Happy to have found a great place to live."
