"I'm currently having the worst experience living in the Broadway Palace. I live on the North Building where there is many package theft. I brought it to management attention, when I call in and they said there is nothing they can really do. Also there is many leakage coming from the roof causing the ceiling to fall out, I wrote emails to management and they don't fix the issue. They have told me that They cant find were the leakage is coming from. All they do is patch it up till the next rain, They call it luxury apartments but they don't fix the ceilings at all. I get embarrass bringing friends over because there broken ceiling on the hallways and I have to apologize to my guest evetime."
"So let me start off saying I moved here thinking this place was my saving grace. 4 month later, IM IN HELL. This building has no regard for its tenants whatsoever. The alarm goes off in the middle of the day, forcing you to do evacuations periodically. Loud noises from top floors like parties every day. Not to mention, everything breaks every other week. On top of that I had an incident with fraud on my bank account and I’ve lost almost $2000 last month. I called the manager to let them know that’s why my rent would need more time because I would have to pay part of the rent with money I made for this month. The manager proceeds to tell me that it’s already in evictions and that I’m gonna rack up eviction fees. I say OK well, how much do I have before it goes too far he says the 25th. I proceeded to pay my rent with the late fee and a day and a half later Joey/johnny (the rude and unconcerned manager) To tell me that he cannot accept my rent because I won’t pay utilities. He says that, even though I gave him all of my rent with the late fee that they can’t accept it without the 234 dollar utilities. Oddly enough, I wasn’t aware that apartment buildings had the means to force you to pay utilities. Prior to this incident when I first paid rent after my free months rent, it didn’t go through for some reason. So I get a call from the one of the building managers and he tells me I have a balance that will be sent to eviction. I asked him why I already paid the rent and he said that it came back as insufficient funds. I look at my bank account and I still see the money in there and I let him know that. He tells me well why Is it still in your bank account? Which you assume that it would be paid? I said, why would I assume that the money wouldn’t be coming out of my account if I already submitted the payment online? How much sense does it even make to say that I’m the problem when I’m the one who paid online and it didn’t go through. Common sense is not common and apparently not to these building managers either. I will be looking into this my mom is a lawyer, so we’re already working on it. I am going to take necessary steps to try to get out of this lease because it seems like this building is all over the place, There’s always bums in the parking lot, There was a bum trying to steal my clock from my car before I caught him when I took it out. When you think about living somewhere you’re supposed to feel safe and you’re supposed to feel like your building is taking care of you especially when fraud affects your income for the next few weeks. All this to say DO NOT MOVE HERE! I was warned not to move here now Im stuck and will have to pay to get out my lease early or find someone to take my lease."
"My family went on our tour with Representative Lance and we were elated! We were greeted by hospitable staff members and enjoyed the displayed unit layouts. This place has some of the best amenities to offer. Thank you for welcoming us to your "palace.""
"Lived in this building for 3 years, and after keeping my place incredibly clean with very little wear and tear, Broadway charged me over 300 dollars for a cleaning fee and kept the other 300 dollars of my security deposit to cover "repairs" that were not even done before I lived in my unit. Stay away! Not only will they take your security deposit even if you are a model tenant, but your packages will definitely get stolen, you will be kept up at night by loud parties on the rooftop, and security does nothing to keep out large groups of people who seemingly have no connection to the building. When I initially moved in, during COVID in 2020, this place was WAY cheaper than the other luxury communities in DTLA. Now, the prices are NOT worth dealing with management and the other annoying components of the property."
