"Just had the most disgusting and just awful interaction I’ve ever had ever with the “new manager”. She made me feel so deeply uncomfortable in my own apartment building where I’ve been paying rent for over a year. I was just sitting in the lobby checking updates on my phone like I usually do and after my long and taxing overnight shift. I was resting my foot up on the stone in the lobby when she comes in and says “people are eating there” to which I respond “eating?” Mind you, I have no idea who this woman is. I was really close to the previous manager, so close that my sister was doing her daughters hair. I was completely unaware that the building was under new management and was obviously confused and bothered by this random woman yelling at me for doing something I’ve done basically everyday for over a year. She then proceed to demand I answer her very evasive questions like where do I live and with who. Saying that I’m not a resident here and that I needed leave. She then called the police. As a young African American male, having the police called on me by a random angry white women who just hopes that I get caged and locked up is something I have been avoiding for about 2 decades now. For this women to call the police on me for simply sitting down the lobby of the apartment building that I have lived in for much longer than she has worked in is just VILE. I was so shocked and just utterly heartbroken at her display. The previous manager WOULD NEVER have reacted that way. I miss her already."
"No one at the office ever answers the phone, the building could be on fire and they would not even know. It’s so extremely frustrating trying to get a hold of anyone to sort anything out, and it takes weeks to get simple documents sent over/back. Overall poor professionalism. So disappointing."
