"I hope this review helps during your search for a new apartment! Pros: - Our neighbors are all so warm and community oriented - The location can’t be beat - so close to the 10 and Culver City - I love taking walks in the neighborhood. I can easily access the mall, movies, grocery store, and sports complex by foot - Very affordable! Cons: - There’s consistent turnover with the leasing office and maintenance which results in very poor communication between them and to the residents - There is no maintenance portal for residents to submit requests which means that you have to rely on the leasing office to submit and track requests (this results in a lot of delayed work) - We have experienced consistent rodent infestations and the disorganization of the leasing office resulted in a multi-week delayed pest control visit. Given the recurrent nature of the rats, we repeatedly asked for pictures of the patched holes in the walls (for our peace of mind) and never received them. - Be sure to tour the unit that you will be living in. The complex is a combination of a few different older apartments which means that you may tour a unit with two showers that looks renovated, but end up in an older unit with a shower and a tub. Unfortunately management has been unwilling to accommodate us in any way since we don’t have a second shower as expected. - There are consistent power outages after any amount of rain (this is less an issue with management and more an issue with the electric company)"
"Staff in the office at woodlake is very nice and is always willing to help. What I like most is the respond time when call and left a message . They have empathy towards my concerns when brought to there attention. This is the best staff since I’ve been here . I feel at home and that my concerns are heard and address in a timely manner . I have recommended people who have actually moved in and love it . The grounds are always clean and smell good . This new management owner is on point with concerns brough to there attention and maintenance of the apartment . ❤️it ."
"These apartments keep getting worse, light goes out more and more often, today has gone out at least 3 times, units infested with mice and management does nothing about it, they only say pest control will be in but only on Wednesdays, I'm sure if they have an issue like this at their house they wouldn't wait until just because pest control only comes on certain day of the week. They keep changing management, and every time keeps getting worse. We had someone breaking into our unit, and not only they didn't do anything about it, but until now, they haven't fixed the window. At beginning they said the rent is high because these are "Luxury Apartments Homes" and that there will be security on site 24/7. They also changed their security guards several times and every time are less guards and the ones they have are never to be seen specially during the night, units just keep getting worse and even after being at their office several times, still nothing gets fixed. Everything just keeps getting worse every time, so frustrating!!"
"Update 12/29/2020: Management refuses to eliminate roach infestation in EMPTY units, elevator is not working, ceiling in main entryway has a LARGE hole and a RAT was found in apartment which more than likely came from the large hole/unfinished repair. Property quality continues to decline. - MM They will make the building look aesthetically pleasing on the outside and new units will have modern appearance. These pictures are what my experience has been and is currently. Note recent high turnover with management companies at this property, therefore the name of the complex and reviews are removed each time. Repairs and improvements are only done to keep property afloat. Expect at least an additional $70 per month on top of base rent due to price gouging from 3rd party water, sewer, and online payment systems. You will be paying the costs of consumption for other residents who have 'all utilities included' in their leases from years ago. - Current management: FPI Mgt"
