UCSF Primary Care at China Basin
About the Business
UCSF Primary Care at China Basin, located at 185 Berry Street in San Francisco, California, is a health institution that provides convenient care for both children and adults. As a primary care practice, the team works together to promote healing and wellness through health counseling, patient education, screenings, and disease diagnosis and treatment. If a patient requires medical attention beyond the scope of the clinic, they will be connected with the appropriate UCSF Health specialist. The institution also offers resources, problem-solving assistance, and advocacy during treatment.
In addition to medical services, UCSF Primary Care at China Basin offers an eight-week mindfulness class to reduce stress and improve overall health, chaplain services for spiritual support, and patient liaisons for international visitors. Interpreters are available in various languages, including American Sign Language, and services are provided for deaf, hard-of-hearing, and visually impaired patients. Patients can also find tips for preparing for hospital stays and doctor's appointments on the UCSF website.
UCSF Primary Care at China Basin utilizes cutting-edge brain mapping techniques developed by UCSF neurologists to locate language, motor, and sensory functions, making surgeries safer, more precise, and less invasive. This innovative approach may lead to therapies for restoring healthy brain circuitry in patients with conditions such as epilepsy, depression, and stroke.

"My primary dropped me to get a fellow and left me with his assistant. I haven’t been able to get another primary care doctor. When you do have one it’s impossible to make an appointment. These people are garbage."
"- Extremely limited appointment times. They bumped our 1 year check up to be 5 weeks later... - Long waits in person and on the phone. Often you call, get transferred, explain your situation again, and again...they say they will call you back...and they often don't - When our son was sick for 5 days and symptoms were increasing they kept giving us the run around. On day 4 they did a Zoom appointment and said we should call the next day and be seen that day...so we called and they told us to have a 2nd Zoom call instead. What does it take to actually be seen?? Meanwhile, they advised us to get a covid test and someone would call us the same day...no one called us. - Expensive parking Extremely disappointed in this place after a year of "care""
"This is a great location, compared to other locations it's more quiet and personal. Due to construction, on foot you'll need to enter at "lobby 3" which is exactly half way between 3rd and 4th st on berry st, and then go "outside" to the courtyard and turn left towards third street to find the office (on your left)"
"Very disappointed! First time writing a review. My son has always had wellness yearly checkup free of charge. This time too we discussed routine things like cough cold constipation with physician, and they made the wellness exam as Diagnostic and charged us! Be careful and mindful of what you discuss. The finance lady told me, u sudnt have any questions/concerns on your wellness visit. Truly disappointed by UC even though I’m a UC student."
"They don't give you earliest available appointment they have, if you ask the earliest thing they have is always at least 2-3 months away. I called in early April they give me late June, but I can't make it as something from work pumps up then they give me something on September. And the traffic around that area is terrible and they still put you on rush hours, And they refuse to see you even you drive 1 hour and 1 min late because of traffic jam. And what is MORE they gave you "NO SHOW UP WARMING" when they refuse to get you see the doc!! I can believed being treat like this as my husband get a major surgery with UCSF last year with UCSF and had good impression with them. The representative at this place is incredibly doesn't care about patients and abuse patients by using their rights in the office."
